Take a Tour of Elvis Presley's Former Beautiful Palm Springs Home (Photos)

Elvis Presley's oh-so-seventies Palm Springs ranch home (also known as Graceland West) is up for auction after nine months on the market.
After nine months spent languishing on the open market, the LA Times reports that "Graceland West," Elvis Presley's former Palm Springs retreat, will be auctioned off on October 25. He's not the only star that's called it home—Frankie Valli owned the home for a brief period in the late '70s. The starting bid is yet to be established, but the bank-owned home is currently listed at $2.59 million. We have a hard time envisioning a lack of interest: The 1.75-acre ranch home offers stunning views of both the mountains and the desert, and features a kidney bean swimming pool, spa, and palm trees.

That's not to mention the home's extravagant interiors, which should appeal to any wannabe-Elvis out there. In one room, you'll find plush red wall-to-wall carpeting straight out of American Hustle; in the 30-foot by 50-foot "entertaining room," large black-and-white checks cover the entire floor. The disco vibe extends even to the bathroom, which features crimson tiles and mini-blinds. And if you're keen on company, you'll find no struggles here, thanks to its large dining room (complete with wet bar) and glass-walled living areas with views of the mountains beyond. Even if it's a little beleaguered, it's certainly a property fit for a King.  via Curbed
